GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI - On Thursday, October 29th, 2015, at approximately 9:17 pm, a Grand Blanc Township sergeant was investigating a disabled vehicle on the ramp from northbound I-75 to Dort Highway. \r\nThe vehicle was unoccupied, however approximately 100 yards further up the ramp were three gas cans sitting on the shoulder of the road. At that time, the victim, John P. Allen, 27-years-old, from Davisburg, who was deceased, was found lying in the grass next to the gas cans.\r\nThere were no obvious\u00a0signs of trauma and the victim was not struck by a vehicle. The investigation shows John Allen was at the Marathon gas station, at Dort Hwy. and Grand Blanc Rd., at approximately 7:30 pm and purchased the gas cans and gas. He was given a ride by an unknown subject driving a white sedan. It appears that John Allen was dropped off at the top of the ramp and was walking back to his vehicle at the time of his death.\r\nInvestigators from the medical examiner\u2019s office are assisting and the investigation is ongoing. \r\nDetectives are waiting on autopsy results to determine a cause of death.\r\nInvestigators would like to speak with the driver of the white sedan, who gave John Allen a ride.\r\nAnyone with information or who may have seen the victim walking is asked to contact Detective Matt Harburn at 810-424-2611.\r\nObituary\r\nALLEN John P.\r\nof Davisburg, died October 29, 2015 at 27 years of age.
